I am curious, it is real easy on macOS to copy text from images for #AltTxt. Is it just as easy for Linux, Windows, iOS and Android users as it is for macOS users?
Honestly, Apple is the easier of all the platforms. Samsung comes real close. General Android/Google third. And then it’s special knowledge for the rest. It’s not that you “can’t” but it isn’t as polished. Apple has the best OCR out there for easiness.
It is truly amazing on iPhone and Mac, you can directly select text from ANY image, even handwritten, like this. No external software needed, it is built in.
@ikkeT I think it's been available quite a while before nowadays AI fatures, as far as I know it was already on iPhone since iOS 15 and on macOS since macOS Monterey, both released in 2021. @Yehuda
