Just an idea for UK/EU digital legislation.
All non-FOSS, proprietary mobile apps must have a web alternative. This will allow people to use services without relying on Apple/Google services and telemetry via a phone web browser of their choice (rather than having to download the app).
Yes - there'll be plenty of cases where this can't happen, but I think it's a good starting point.

It just occurred to me. I have always had in my mind that Valve’s and Crossover’s work on WINE was a great boon to Linux gaming. I hadn’t made the connection until this post that since Macs suck for games, that Valve’s and Crossover’s work has been a great boon for MacOS too. Mac users, like Linux users, owe a debt of gratitude to WINE and these two!!

The vulnerability has been reported a year ago and is still present.💔

#apple has had twenty years to fix this shit. Here's some of my humble suggestions for the multi-billion dollar company that still can't do basic shit right:
1. Don't use case-insensitive drives for Time Machine.
2. Don't use case-insensitive drives, at all.
3. Implement a fucking lookup table FFS. This shit is CS 101.
For those of you saying "Apple is a business, why shouldn't they raise prices?", I would like to remind you that Apple in FY2025 (alone) spent $90 Billion (with a 'B') on buying its own stock.
Per SEC 10-K filings since 2013, Apple has spent $814.4 Billion on stock buybacks.
At the going rate, in September, that top line number will be just *under a $1 Trillion dollars*
The numbers in this chart are negative because that's the money coming out of their "cash flow statement"
