I’m not sure if anyone’s been miffed regarding YouTube video previews not showing on Mastodon, but it’s bugged me no end! I had a little play here, and noticed copying the required video link from the address bar and changing the “m.youtube.com” section to “www.youtube.com” loads the preview! I’m on an iPhone, but hopefully it’ll work for others. Thanks!

also worth noting that if the link includes anything after the video I'd, it can be removed. It's tracking.

So if a link looks like this:

https://youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ?si=_AlazxiJn0wLDNlv (don't click, it has tracking) everything after the second ?
can be removed

So it should look like this:

https://youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ (tracking removed)
