The landing page of #WSocial has been updated and it finally looks more professional (the previous version was embarrassingly amateurish). So credit to them for finding a web designer who knows what they are doing.

I just looked at the source and found references to webflow: overriding webflow css and js.
See attached screenshots.
So I think it's pretty safe to say those 2 pages at the very least started as webflow pages and were then customised.
Not sure that's quote-worthy, but sure :)

1) There also seems to be a Laravel-based backend that receives the form submissions, visible in the custom js file.
2) Uses Amazon cloudfront for at least some resources, meaning at present AWS can track wsocial page loads.

No worries. And for what it's worth, landing pages like these are typical stuff for a brand new penniless startup.
But this whole operation feels like it was thought up during a champagne and coke fueled New Year's eve after-party and then thrown together hastily just before catching the Davos jet to go score some investment euros.

Because in my humble opinion, AT Proto by design is largely driven by algorithms. And who controls means of communication has immense power these days (look at what happened to X, TikTok et al).
In contrast, no corporate or governmental overlord could sweep in and assert control of the Fediverse.

And yet... people like @euobserver 's publisher know that W exists. He thinks it's lame, but he's HEARD about it and now so have his readers. What he apparently hasn't heard of despite EU Observer having an active Mastodon account is Mastodon.

Hmm, for the designer, I won't tell, but for the devs, ouch...
No doctype, 3,63Mo for 2 paragraphs, a basic form, an svg logo and a background image, that's embarrassing.
And this background image : a magnificent 898 Ko "svg" full of base64 inlined pngs... and overlayed by a subtl "noise" png of 2,40 Mo by itself, chef's kiss :)
