Kinda funny

When I was younger we moved around a bit and at some point I made a friend who was also a little weird like me

And his dad drove a car from the vid above! Not the Tesla but a hearse(edited!) and it was funny!

Everyone was always talking about it and no Tesla could top it for sure

He was a tattoo artist so it fit

You mean a “hearse”?

As the Wankpanzer is a death car in itself ^_^J

in reply to stux⚡

The “death car” is called a “hearse.” When I was a kid I remember a friend of my sister who had a hearse that he had hopped up with a high performance engine, mag wheels, etc. It made a statement.

its a Cadillac hearse with a Miller-Meteor body from the 1950s, widely seen in USA movies whenever a hearse is featured. In Europe we tend to use converted Mercedes or similar size station wagon, and a hearse can often be got quite cheaply as a used vehicle with relatively low mileage (it is unlikely to have been driven hard, but might suffer from the usual problems that affect a car mostly used for short journeys, although nothing that can't be relatively easily fixed)
in reply to stux⚡

I knew of a guy who drove one and was going to set up a sound system using a coffin lined with speakers and a foam “body” inside that helped with controlling vibrations. I sure hope he did it.

you know Mastodon is extremely transparent when it comes to edited posts? there is no need to add it in the post (i'm just writing this because people tried to weaponize editing, even though everyone can still read the original version, if they really want to. So I want more people to know 😇)

@Pinchy63 Give it a few sec and try to reload, masto has that issue sometimes :sad_cat:

Even before Ghostbusters I seriously thought about buying a hearse just for the shock effect. I got as far as designing plans for bench seating around a coffin which would of course open up into a full wet bar.

The struggle to open the glove compartment is the realest thing. And the fake one is just…let’s slow everything down for 1/3 the space!

The “there’s so much space to put stuff in!” is just so laughable. Congrats, you made the car 40% longer to get the trunk space of a minivan in a less accessible way.

“I have plenty of room!” says the woman, with 2-3 inches of space while sitting as compactly as she can while the carseats are jammed up under the driver’s elbow.

it's a great car until one of the kids runs into the sharp corners

I wonder which woman gets the middle finger 30 times a day?
in reply to stux⚡

Besides, it's always a plus to know who's the cooler, non-Nazi person.
in reply to stux⚡

wow. Amazing, thanks for sharing.

I saw in the thread that the comparison is with a hearse. Could you consider adding something like “while another woman excellently demonstrates how a hearse has the same features” to the alt-text. Maybe even add the bit about the coffin as a prop, so non-sighted people can also enjoy this?

in reply to stux⚡

Wow it even has four wheels. Unique features all around.

the swastikatruck is more like an El Camino that mated with a refrigerator and is definitely not a truck. The interior is cheaper looking than my Chevy sonic and no mention of the doors locking crash victims in their burning death trap
in reply to stux⚡

feels like the lady with the Hearse would be on Mastodon or would fit in very well here.
in reply to stux⚡

if you buy the first vehicle, you'll likely soon need the second.

love love love this. If they came in Electric i would get one. My husband and I are really loving the Bolt EV right now. And loved our old Leaf too. It would be hard to go back to a gas car. But i always wanted a hearse. Once a year our local Victorian cemetery, Laurel Hill does a hearse show laurelhillphl.com/event/hearse…

There are some really tricked out hearses there. The cemetery itself displays theirs which is Purple!

'It even has a hidden drawer'

you mean a glove compartment? 😐

the name "nazi car" fits this so-called cybertruck pretty well.

"Best of all, you look like a total badass driving your kids around..."

No ma'am, you just look like an ass.

many many years ago I was late for work and the bus hadn't arrived. So I stuck out my thumb and hitched a lift. The car that stopped for me and gave me a lift was a hearse on the way to collect a body. Coolest ride I ever got.
in reply to stux⚡

the reach is real.

The trunk keeps your shit dry?

Lady, what the fuck were you driving before

Man I always wanted a hearse as my family wagon. Of course the kids and someone else in the family were against it.

My son has a cyber truck so the whole Elon bad ass saga is stressful for me when I'm at his house... :(

One of my son's 1st work cars was a black small Chrysler that looked like a hearse. We all called it Hearsey. :)
Two thumbs up on video too.
in reply to stux⚡

so its great for having the basic function a lot of cars have, that.cost significant less?
in reply to stux⚡

I prefer this hearse. Replica of the one in the movie Harold and Maude

The Cybertruck looks like the wet dream of a 14 year old boy who’s imagining a ‘cool’ truck. Using it to drive your kids around makes you look like a douche bag.

I had a boyfriend who had a hearse much like this one and we would attend parties and concerts with it. It was great fun to tailgate in. We were in a metal/hard rock music community and everyone wanted to ride in it. His neighbors hated it, though, and at one point he said they threw cement on it

this is also every conversation, about why we need windows and can't use linux.
edit: at least cyberstuck doesn't try to look look like an older car, that's more reliable, more stable and cheaper.

I'd love to see Trump and Musk and Johnson in that non-"Tessler" car.
in reply to stux⚡

She is so proud to have a #Swasticar 🤦

I had never seen inside... Cheesus, it is a lot worse than I thought. Do people buy this shit just because they love #Musk that much? People have money to waste.

That car is as ugly as hell. I would feel embarrassed to drive one - this even before it became a Swasticar... now? I would not accept one for free.

in reply to stux⚡

The very end killed me, it says so much about the nazitruck on the roads and the witchy woman with her hearse is really the badass one of both women. It made me laugh a lot.
in reply to stux⚡

okay I saw an earlier version of this which was funny as well. But it just occurred to me: she shows how with two kids seats in the back and her (oh so tall) husband behind the wheel, there's still (a tiny bit of) room for herself *in the back*? Why not sit in the front seat?
in reply to stux⚡

I know who looks like a badass.... One looks like a bad asshole... The other? Well I'm going to trust someone who drives a hearse far more than someone who drives a dumpster.
in reply to stux⚡

did anyone notice the 'you've given me the kids, now get in the back' moment?
in reply to stux⚡

Golly it's almost like every family vehicle / any motor vehicle larger than a sedan has been able to do every single one of those things since the beginning of time
