There is something with this image that I can't really put my finger on, she looks like something in between a human and a mannequin for some reason. And it makes it both subtile, beautiful and a bit uncomfortable to watch.
That said, I like it a lot since I can't really grasp what I like about it.

@ambivalena Thank you so much, I'm really glad you picked up on that. Your mannequin comparison is actually very accurateβ€”the model deliberately played that role. I wanted the viewer to hesitate for a moment and wonder what they're really looking at. Is it still a person, or just a form, a presence, maybe even a memory? I love photographs that don't give clear answers and leave room for personal interpretation.
