For the longest time I was convinced that at the 1/60th of a second I shoot my images in the studio, in-motion poses would be entirely blurry... But of course that's absurd, because the flash speed is what determines the image that gets captured, and the flash speed is way faster than 1/60th. So I've started trying to work out good looking poses in mid-air. What do you think ?

There's a gray area somewhere between structured textures (leaves pointing in the same direction, etc.) and chaotic ones (random variety of different plants) that I really like but is very tricky to get by design. On this image, I feel like I've found that elusive middle ground.

Vintage lenses paired with modern digital cameras can produce some lovely results, as I've discovered with my 50-something year-old Helios 44m f2 and X-T4.
Yes, manual focusing is tricky and, yes, the lens has weak contrast, but I'm really enjoying the way it renders scenes and it seems especially suited to black and white.
It gives a charming, classic feel to images with swirly bokeh.

My reflection in the saltwater of the North Sea. Or perhaps more like my shadow-reflection. Equally unreal, whether shadow or the 'original.' Both are frozen light through the camera, digitized, altered, turned back into light, chemically processed in the retina into signals, made available to the brain and its neurons for interpretation, and in turn, this produces thoughts and feelings... Mind-blowing!
