Lot of bird activity on the morning hike, marsh wren singing while building a nest, a black-capped chickadee apparently nesting in a woodpecker hole and a downy woodpecker doing its thing. Oh yes, my fav beaver Little Whittle was in the channel chilling, I love that cutie. #Hiking #GetOutside, it’s how I keep from going crazy.
A marsh wren singing with it's yellowish beak wide open, perched on some marsh grass just above a nest it is building, visible in the lower right of the photo. It's buff brown, with black and white speckle patches on its back, light brown cream colors breast. Very cute.

A downy woodpecker upside down while clinging to a tree limb, red patch on the back of its head, which indicates it is a male. It has a white-gray breast, mostly black on its back with white speckles.
A rusty brown beaver, a close=up of its head with its cute little hands to its mouth eating some green vegetation. Long whiskers and black nose, absolutely adorable.
