a doob is maybe just a regular joint? That is, weed rolled up in paper. A blunt is a cigar that's been partially hollowed out and filled with weed. Or these days maybe it's just a joint with tobacco blended in with the weed.

Don't ask me how I know, I haven't smoked anything since probably 2014.
