I just want non-Google Linux phones to become mainstream. Since android is based on Linux anyway, most apps should work or be easy to port?

I would love to be able to root my phone, but some of us just suck at these things and it's not worth the risk of bricking our devices. I wish we could have off the shelf Linux phones that don't require advanced tech skills to use or set up.

If app developers can create a safe ecosystem that ensures safety for uploaded apps, Google should not have the right to demand this on behalf of the whole world. Instead they can offer to help, but not force developers into submission.

Google is attempting to block the use of side loaders and APK files to download apps outside of their play store by requiring developers to submit their IDs and addresses.

I think its time for European tech and software to take over . Y'all got vollaOs, ShiftOS, AphyOs , SailfishOs, /e/Os, plasma, IodeOs and Ubuntu Touch.

That's not even all of it there is Tuta, Proton,
