Did you want to follow the same horrible steps that Mastodon took with this app?

You talk about decentralization but this app design promote users to use pixelfed.social. Now you can't even create an account from Pixelfed App on android to another server.

That's bad and you should think about it.

@kyva I'm in the process of redesigning the app so we have a chance to get it right this time.

Perhaps you can help design a rough mockup for the flow you'd like to see? I will create a GH issue for this after work.

I think this will be a better approach

* In screen 2 in the question mark you can add a modal with information about how instances in the fediverse work.

I'm not perfect, which is why I listen to feedback and implement it accordingly.

Let me give you an example, @kyva commented on a post I made mentioning our onboarding flow is far from perfect.

Instead of ignoring them, or trying to justify it, I asked for their feedback.

They responded with mockups that solve the issue, so I let them know we'll be implementing this in our new app!

I just finished it, and can't wait to ship the new app!!

I can't wait to get back on track and bring back my Pixelfed instance now that it looks way better than it was 2 years ago.

The project maturity seems very good now and more stable.

Congrats again on the best decision ever to decentralize the login and registration workflow.
