“#Apple CEO Tim Cook visited Mar-a-Lago, joining growing list of tech execs seemingly courting #Trump..

Trump said in mid-Oct.. on podcast..that the Apple executive talked to him about fines the European Union imposed on the company.”

I stopped using Apple products for a long time after Tim Cook fully embraced the first Trump admin, but have come to the conclusion that if I quit using every product/service from a pro-fascist company, my options are basically zero.

@ldcolton I’m so glad you said that. It’s exactly what’s gone thru my mind every time someone screams “boycott.”

There’s nothing left to boycott. I need to buy things. That’s a predicament, so …. Yeah.

Guess reducing your dependence as far as feasible while keeping an eye on upcoming better options is all you can do? That way you can move to better alternatives more easily if/when possible.

Perfection is the enemy of good and all that.

Also .... registering that these *are* the folks in charge of everything. If I have a company and don't suck up to 45, that's... perhaps a tactical error. It would be nifty galifty if some folks would just play him like the lousy kazoo he is.

Not sure collaboration is a good idea, that would be normalising and endorsing his fascism? 😦

Probably 99% of people directly around him are sucking up to him just so they can play him, but they're helping to keep him in power by doing so. 😞

Yeah, flattery is perhaps the easiest way to play him. He's oblivious to being played as long as people flatter him. For example North Korea obviously picked up on this with their "love letters" that manipulated him into doing exactly what they wanted.

But sucking up in public also sends a message to the public that he's a nice guy that is admired and normal?
