Anyone who can tell me whether it also a good alternative for Mac OS on an Apple laptop with Apple M1 Pro chip?

just to add some context, do you mean is it possible to install #ZorinOS on a Mac with these specs? I'm sure it's possible... but haven't tried it myself.

Edit: as per responses below, with Apple hardware it is actually not possible to install ZorinOS 🫤

The cool thing is ZorinOS has a "macOS" theme so once installed you should be able to make it look very similar to what you're used to!

Sigh. Minimal homework finds help.zorin.com/docs/getting-st… "Mac computers with Apple silicon processors are not currently capable of running Zorin OS natively."

@jwd630 “Apple Silicon” is Apple’s brand name for their family of processors - M1, M1 Pro, M4, etc are all “Apple Silicon”. The only alternative OS you can install on Apple Silicon is Asahi Linux which supports most of the hardware features, but not all.

El Duvelle reshared this.
