I moved the #HolosSocial projects (app, relay and discover, to stay consistent) to my own git at git.holos.social/tom79
As a reminder about this choice: I used an AI to write part of the #Holos docs, and also to review and help me fix some code I had written. At first I didn't feel concerned by the debate (no vibe coding on my side), but it went further than that. Out of respect for everyone using my work, transparency and action were needed.

Otherwise, e.g. the Linux kernel would be banned as well.

Depending on someone else wouldn't have been an option for me. That's why I wanted to host these projects myself.
Months ago, someone asked me about AI and I answered honestly:
mastodon.social/@HolosSocial/1…
But when I read the discussions about Codeberg's choice, which I do respect, it was going further. I had to take a stand and be honest. It brings more work, but it stays honest toward the people who trust my work.

So this is really about me and my own perception of what people expect from a project hosted there. That's the only reason I moved the projects that felt sensitive to me. No hard feelings toward Codeberg, quite the opposite.
