Eat your greens! For the first time, ever, I have a salad garden at home. I have grown one in my community garden but never at home. This year I gave away blooming plants to make room for happy, happy lettuces, cilantro, and cheery tomatoes. One of my plants is the leftover roots of “living lettuce”. I bought the lettuce at the grocery store annd when we had our way with it, I figured it might take off if planted - it did.
I am doing cut and come again with the lettuce and cilantro. I have been harvesting for about 3 weeks.
“We’re having salad tonight!”
