Any ideas about what I can do here, if anything at all? "DMing to opt out" feels like a nope. Deleting it is presumably closing the stable door after the horse with its seven AI generated legs has bolted. I've edited the alt text to be less helpful, which I *hate* doing, but it's a tiny bit of defiance within my power.

can you report it to Bluesky? Opting people in without their consent seems illegal. The option to DM to opt out is just not good enough. It's illegally stealing your content.
Even if it's not illegal (I'm not a lawyer), if you build some outrage over it and enough people report it I'm sure it will get banned!
@elduvelle I'm not a bluesky user, so don't have any way to report it that I can think of - I am bridged to bluesky, but the evil account in question isn't, so I can't even block it :/
ooh.. Then we should try to find people on #Bluesky who can report it! You could try sending a "please report this account if you're on Bluesky" post, on Fedi?
@mothninja@beige.party I've reported the account over there for non-consensual opt-ins. If we can get many others to do similar it might actually be seen by a human.
