Also the whole thing with how twitter is now completely unreliable highlights how #Mastodon could (and should) try harder to become a useful and credible alternative for accurate scientific discourse. We could become the go-to platform for when people need to know the truth about something, unpolluted by gen-AI, bots and manipulation.
