That's a great question! The waitlist and subscription allow us to get Thundermail into the hands of those most excited and willing to help us shape the direction of the email service. We want our community to be among the first to test it out and let us know where it could be improved.

sorry, I don't want to argue, I am confused now.

You say "to shape the direction of the email service". What this mean? Are you changing protocols away from IMAP/SMTP, or adding features?

the reason I am asking is , I developed a mail server for receiving email with no spam, which works, and I got crazy to implement IMAP and iCAL. So I am thinking wether implement JMAP.
