Soon after posting I got rained out of my hammock and forgot to post this version :)

As we're just days past the summer equinox the south-western sky remains glowing deep into the night.

Early on Venus became visible, and about halfway Vega did so as well. In the last quarter stars popped into view all over the sky, as clouds quickly followed to obscure them.

As the day-nature shut down and got replaced by the creatures of the night (owls, bats, crickets) a hot day ended with a serene night.
