First it was DDG, then Ecosia. Now thinking of switching to Qwant.

Everyone raves about DDG. I can't stand it. I've tried their browser and their search engines many times but I just don't get along with it at all. Its seems to constantly add settings back that I've turned off.
SearXNG and Mojeek are worth a look, but I default back to StartPage and Quant.

The hard part is finding search engines that aren't implementing AI summaries or chat features.

I started with DDG, then moved to Ecosia then Start Page. All of them have AI chat and summary features.

For the moment I'm on Search For Trees since it has a similar mission to Ecosia but they donate more to tree projects.

noai.duckduckgo.com and looking into european alternatives
in reply to Tuta

After trying Kagi for a while I end up using #Ecosia and never looked back.

really being wanting yo use Qwant but it doesn't get along well with my privacy configuration so I'm still using ddg for now
in reply to Tuta

perfect 81 % of tuta user use US search engine,

DDG (Microsoft server), Brave (Amazon server), Startpage (Amazon server), Ecosia.org (Cloudflare server), Kagi (Google Cloud server)

Only mojeek (UK) and qwant (FR) are not US so avoid those US crap.

@Mojeek @Qwant #duckduckgo #brave @StartpageSearch @ecosia @kagihq #eu #sovereinty

@lexinova
I am pretty new to the concept of Privacy, but I hope that I'm doing a good job by choosing StartPage (set to EU Servers) and ocasionally Kagi. I am also from Europe and I really hope that Chat Control won't be passed after all the effort and fighting.

Qwant! Have been super happy, can't wait that they publish their own search indexing

Clearly #metager - see
@MetaGer

Yes - search costs few tokens (which reflects into real money after all). Guess the tuta audience knows - if it's free, guess who's the product 😉
