We know how to electrify just about everything - just don't have the political will to implement.
We know a lot about meaning natural sequestration, especially around restoration of ecosystems.
Of course, funding those isn't as glamorous and awe inspiring as large, complex machines requiring massive amounts of energy and maintenance.
