@haubles just dropped the massive news that Mastodon is going to be changing the default signup flow on mobile apps to choose an instance thats geographically close to you instead of choosing mastodon.social by default!

@matrix, who are still in the process of implementing MLS I think (arewemlsyet.com/), expressed interest in getting various Social media protocols to implement Matrix a few months ago. Though I'm not sure what that would look like
