High contrast black and white photograph of five people standing on a London Underground platform, facing away from the camera. On the far left, someone dressed in white is cut in half by the edge of the frame, the rightmost figure has light coloured trousers, otherwise the people are all darkly clothed. The crushed black background might give the impression that they are standing on a stage during a performance. Or that they are facing into a void. The reality is given away both by the ridged floor at the edge of the platform and a glimpse of the 'Underground' roundel that peeks over the left shoulder of the person second from the left.

This made me think of people standing on a theatre sceen, rehearsing a play. Great shot!
