Trump is the third US president to pardon insurrectionists. Pardons by the previous two - Andrew Johnson in 1868 and Ulysses S. Grant in 1873 - were followed by years of violent racism and the rise of the KKK.

In his second inaugural address, Abraham Lincoln profoundly said “A divided house cannot stand.”

Andrew Johnson and Ulysses Grant misunderstood that. (#Putin puppet) Donald Trump weaponized it. And now, sadly, #Washington has fallen.

#Insurrectionists and #fascists should never be pardoned! They should forever be *banned* from the People’s Houses - in Washington DC and all state Capitols! Like the #Constitution says FFS!
