At this point, I think it would be insane of Microsoft to not start offering stock Windows on Xbox consoles.
Of the three modern consoles, the Xbox Series X|S has the smallest game library.
By running stock Windows, Xbox gamers would now have access to Steam, GOG.com, itch.io, Epic Game Store, and more.
They’d go from having the smallest library to the largest library – one that spans decades. They’d be able to play old bangers like S.T.A.L.K.E.R., which never got a console release.
And hell, if Microsoft added trackpad support on the Xbox controller, Xbox gamers could even play the original Baldur’s Gate, which also never got a console release.
If Microsoft added the entire original Xbox and 360 library, Microsoft would have the best damn gaming platform on the planet.

That being said, I do expect Microsoft to take their experience from the #XboxOneS and start developing basically their reply to #Chromebook with a #ThinClient for #Microsoft365 products...

Why is Microsoft even in the console market when they’re third place and publishers won’t even release games for the Xbox Series X|S?
And yet there’s more games released on Windows every day than some consoles’ whole lifespans.
So Microsoft should just pull the plug on those walled garden consoles and embrace what they do best – which is PC gaming.

Just like a Switch, you can dock it to a TV or monitor. You can also use a bluetooth controller as well as keyboard and mouse.
I have one and it’s amazing.
