Some pics of the #moon last night. You can see lots of weird features besides the craters, like mountains, long canyons and faults.

Picture of a region of the moon through a telescope. Here is Mare Imbrium, a large plain, with Montes Alpes, a mountain range north of the Mare. There is a large canyon-like feature among those mountains, it is called Vallis Alpes.
Here we see crater Manilius, south of Mare Serenitatis, to the left are the Montes Apenninus.
Here we see Mare Nectoris, the large plain to the southwest of Mare Fecunditatis, which itself appears towards the upper right corner. Towards the center left id the Bay of Roughness (Sinus Asperitatis) and south of it is crater Theophilus.
