#House passes bill to reopen government after longest #shutdown ever
The legislation now goes to #Trump to sign into #law.
The bill INCLUDES the provision allowing Senators who were investigated by the #DOJ for their alleged involvement in Trump’s effort to overturn the #2020election to sue the #US #government for $500,000.
It DOES NOT INCLUDE the #healthcare subsidies for the #ACA, nor a reversal of the GOP #Medicaid cuts Democrats wanted.
Under DOJ standards and requirements, people seeking pardons generally must wait five years after release, demonstrate good conduct and remorse, and file petitions through the Office of the Pardon Attorney.
Trump has largely abandoned that process.

Britain’s public broadcaster was criticized for editing the speech Trump made before insurgents attacked the Capitol.
Critics the BBC documentary editing was misleading & cut out a section where Trump said that he wanted supporters to demonstrate peacefully.
