look, i only know of Dare from Twitter & the tech scene. so that’s almost 20 years now (i joined there in 2007). Dare is like the Black unicorn of techbrolandia. he was never the guy to bring visibility to what’s newsworthy. he’s always been around to amplify techbros.
you know who was followed for what was newsworthy?
ME.
i was in the top 5 of most influential accounts during the #ArabSpring & #OccupyWallStreet

Is #mastodon becoming an echo chamber? This post from @carnage4life has me questioning our community. The Mastodon team is finally getting some traction, the product improvements are increasing, The #UX is improving, yet people posting on multiple platforms are making comments like this. It's confusing.I *know* people here don't want this to be a classic social media-clone but we'd *like* journalists to be here right? They aren't coming with examples like this!
