Just saw #Wicked at my local #AMC.
I thought it was "ok" but it didn't thrill me. The music was so loud I felt assaulted by the sound &, at times, it seemed more like a #Rock #Video than a musical.
It's been a long time since I saw the play but, based on what I can remember, I liked the play better.
Speaking of which Idina Menzel & Kristin Chenoweth made a cameo appearance together in the movie.
I wish someone would produce a DVD version of the musical that I could watch for direct comparison but AFAIK none has every been made.
BTW, the movie is "to be continued." So, there will be a Wicked 2 released some time in the future.
