On the inside of each edge stands an animal depicted in an Anishinaabe art style: Buffalo, eagle, bear, bigfoot, beaver, wolf, and turtle At the bottom behind the turtle is the earth, with a red bow drawn over the northern horizon, red arrow loaded. Mounted on the arrow are Royal Canadian Air Force wings. The seven points of the big dipper are above the earth, pointing to the North Star between eagle and bear. To the right of the dipper is the moon, which has a matronly face painted on it. A curved white line extends from the tip of the arrow, around the back of the earth, looping back from the bottom into space above, and making a single loop around the circumference of the moon. At the end of the line is a depiction of the Orion module.
