#CZECHIA - I have heard the pre-talks about this guy being a brilliant singer, but... when the song starts really slow and doesn't grab me instantly, I sigh a bit.
To compete in #Eurovision , a ballad must be REALLY good. That means, really, REALLY good. And this song isn't good enough, even though I like those drums and beats in the background.
We like the staging, we do. We are suckers for trees, and we like the whole bare-footed look, even though it remembers us of Danish Emelie de Forest.
This isn't all bad... even though the discussion about plagiarism, it's good.
Welcome back, #LUXEMBOURG !! A sweet pop girl singing a pop song about mother earth, we like that. The refrain sounding SUPER like one of british artist Birdy's songs, don't like that.
Let's see how it plays out on stage... #Eurovision
Oh, Romania stole some of their staging (the lighting chords) from Swedish "Smash into pieces"! But the temu version, it seems.
Loved that stage show! Maybe the only one that I'd like to watch again just for the purpose of getting all the details.
Lithuania's performance is pure eye candy. Visually stunning act, though the music isn't really my thing. Loving the colors and overall atmosphere.
Wasn't that great? Finland really outperformed this year! Thank you, Linda and Pete.

Sweden = a cyberpunk club. The song is pretty meh, with no real structure, I'm afraid. Finland might actually have a shot this year.
I'll be posting about Eurovision all day today, it's our little tradition to watch it together with my kid. Feel free to mute me or the hashtags if you're not interested.

The New York Times has released an investigation into Israel's activity at #Eurovision. They describe "a well-organized campaign" by Israel's government "that embraced Eurovision as a soft power tool - and say the EBU "was ill-equipped to respond.Dorin Popa (Mastodon)
