The EBU apparently didn’t allow the Israeli presenter to wear a yellow ribbon pin. Because reminding the world of the hostages, not just Israeli but of many nationalities, is “political.” Just like mourning the massacre at a music festival is “political,” so the original Israeli song lyrics were disqualified. The #EBU are hoping that this whole 'Israel issue' now gets forgotten about, after they only got them up to fifth place.

If you boycotted #Eurovision this time as some pro-Palestine stance, don't expect them to do a mea culpa. They'll just push on, and do all the same for 2025.

Also, on them banning the non-binary flag as 'political' - that's no surprise to me, as they already in the past (seems 2016) tried to ban the classic (not Progress) Pride Flag, for the same reason.

Oh, I just learnt that #Moroccanoil, the main sponsor of the #eurovision, is from #Israel.

Look, the song was OK, if nothing special, but coming a tight second in the televote (only just losing to #Croatia), and gaining the number one vote in countries like Finland is just really suspect.

I don’t necessarily mean bot votes, though it wouldn’t surprise me, but at least an orchestrated pro-Israel campaign.
