Australia's largest superannuation fund hacked T 21m ago By Tony Ibrahim AustralianSuper has confirmed hundreds of members have had their accounts accessed by cyber criminals attempting to commit fraud. Chief Member Officer Rose Kerlin said in a statement the spike in criminal activity was detected this week. "We identified that cyber criminals may have used up to 600 members’ stolen passwords to log into their accounts in attempts to commit fraud. “While we took immediate action to lock these accounts and let those members know, there are things members can do right now to protect themselves online.” The superannuation fund urged members to check their bank balances to confirm if they've been impacted, and asked them to make sure their superannuation account has a unique and strong password.
