Mary Parker Follett, the forgotten star of management sciences. She produced work during the 1920s regarding the power of integration and working in teams. Her thinking was very advanced for her time. To this day, her work remains more relevant and vital in today's management settings. Plenty of directions today's management and business paradigms are orienting back to the scientific management era of Fredrick Taylor and others. We keep running towards KPI's, measurements, and being obsessed with improving the numbers of those measurements. However, a genuine organisation will ensure that there is a qualitative assurance of their processes. I think it is what we are forgetting these days: that integration, power-with, and democratisation of the institution are what ultimately matter for a successful future.
