My OCs being a typical lesbian couple. Miho has her arm swung around Cels neck as she's jumping into Cel with a Sword pointed at Cel's neck. Cel is catching her with her hand resting on a Zweihänder . They're both smiling. Miho is wearing a shirt with puffy sleeves, leather pants and boots. Cel is wearing a black armor.

The painting is put into an intricate golden frame with ornaments in each corner. She would never have posed or worn a dress like this, if had been up to her. She's still mad about it.

My band Vox Vulgaris just released a new track, slightly different from our usual #medieval #folk #music.
It's a remix/rework on IT'S ON U by the electro-punk-rap group Nora Sharks feat. Luthando Sound, released as the B-side of their single.

We basically replaced their electronic production with our own traditional, acoustic instruments: two kinds of #bagpipes, recorder, tzouras, buisine, davul, qraqeb... and then we put their rappers back on top of it.
I think we arrived at a rather unconventional sound!

There's a widespread myth that medieval people used spices to cover up the taste of rotten meat.

The whole story traces back to one book. In 1939, a scientist named J.C. Drummond published The Englishman's Food and suggested that medieval recipes were so heavily spiced because the meat was frequently tainted. No evidence. Just an assumption. One sentence in one book published 85 years ago.
