They have officially begun the process to take our home from us. I am being sued for $8k in back taxes. I had the nerve to be broke and unable to find a job, therefore I and my family deserve to die. This is the system we have built for ourselves, where a temporary blip in the job market can threaten your very existence. It doesn't matter that I was making good money before. It doesn't matter that I probably will again soon. It doesn't matter that human lives have value ***even if we can't contribute economically***. It only matters that I fell down and therefore should be stomped into the dirt. This is why I supported UBI, back before any of this happened, when I would have been among those holding up the safety net instead of landing on it. When are we going to create a system that reflects and recognizes the value of human life instead of trampling it?
