tall clustered aloe plants with red spiky starburst leaves at top and scraggly beards of dead leaves below. they're growing under a eucalyptus which is maybe why they are unhappy

They're back!

New ferns emerging in the spring. There are several clusters that later in the year will fill in with a ring of ferns about .7 meters high. The clusters on the right are further along than the two on the left. I've watched the same circle of ferns emerge for the last decade or so. They look pretty forlorn in the early winter. But they come back every year. So far, anyway lol
