I think that using AI to catch actual errors in articles (such as numbers wrong by a factor etc) might be a good idea, but should perhaps already be done either by the researchers themselves, or at least at the preprint level as a service of the aXives . This would avoid doing so after publication. And also I think that AI can be wrong, so this should always be human verified by specialists, such as the reviewers.
