I went petroglyph peeping today!

Color photo of a large broken dark colored rocks with light colored petroglyph carvings. On the left is a geometric figure that looks like a ladder pointing to the right. Lower left is a square divided into ten rectangles. Moving right along the bottom is a human looking figure with arms spread wide and three large fingers. The figure is covered in many dots. A dense stripe of dots along the bottom and a less dense series of dots covering the rest of the image. Above that are three curved lines forming arches, a big one, medium sized one, and small one underneath the other two. Top middle is a rectangle divided into ten side-by-side divisions. Over the upper-right side corner of the rectangle are a series of squiggly lines, perhaps suggesting a waterfall? Further to the right in the middle, is another square, but this time divided into eighteen small rectangles. And at the extreme right is a straight vertical shaft with a series of seven oval shapes on it like a shish kabob.

Color landscape photo of a pictograph. It shows four figures. (Note: I do not like interpreting rock art because I'm not of the culture that made it. Something that looks like a deer to us may have been something entirely different to the person who drew it. I feel it is cultural appropriation for modern humans to interpret rock art. Frankly, I even have a problem with using the term art for the images.) The four figures appear to our modern eyes as two elk on the left, a large long and fat bison with a small head in the middle, and a person with a bow and arrow on the right. The person is pointing the bow and arrow at the image that looks like a bison. The images are crude and drawn in a red-brown ocher paint.
