#TikTok lost another round in court today, on its appeal of a U.S. law that would force the video app to divorce from its China-based parent company or be banned.

It’s the latest development in a lengthy saga over the app that many politicians in Washington fear is a security risk.

TikTok opting to shut down in the US rather than be forced into a car-boot (-trunk?) sale would likely make a quarter of the US population of all stripes very unhappy.
...And the US govt that much more unpopular.
