I worked under both Republican and Democrat Presidents and it literally never mattered to me in the context of doing my military and civil service jobs. Until Trump. I left the IC because of Trump being a dangerously unstable Russian asset who hated both the IC and the military. It wasn't about party. It was about the man. The majority of voters had made a better choice but our system allows otherwise. Maybe that needs to change.

For 30 years I was one of those public servants, and I can assure you that any malicious intent toward citizens rests with some members of Congress, not with the large core of dedicated government employees.

If you've never worked for the common good, it's hard to understand how dedicated the people who do really are.
