Likely used up most of their horrifically expensive anti missile missiles...

No one's called it an unprovoked attack. But let's be clear, hundreds of missile and drones, including a fair number of ballistic missiles is much more than sabre rattling. It's actually amazing that American, Jordanian and Israeli forces shot down 99% of them and only minor damage was done. Let's hope madman Netanyahu actually listens to advice this time and doesn't retaliate. It would be an escalation that nobody needs.

Yes, let's hope. I don't know if Netanyahu's decisions are relevant, maybe all is already planned in advance. Perhaps everything is following the Empire's plan.
Iran has been in the crosshair for as long as I remember, threats of dealing with them have been made for decades but uncle Sham never made the move. Remember iran was on the list of -don't laugh- "axis of evil" todo list and the only ( not sure?) one in this list not yet ticked.
Well, we won't have to wait too long for the final act

I believe that this was a carefully calculated reaction. As evidenced by the outcome.

I think Iran is a worthy member of the axis. They've been manipulating various groups in the region and encouraging violence since the 1979 revolution. Always playing the long game and not getting directly involved. This time they let the mask slip.
Sadly, netanyahu makes his own decisions. He's currently much more concerned with his own political future than Israel's well being.

The "long game" is how it is supposed to be played. Ideally no one gets hurt.
