I'd dearly love to see the regimes' apparatchiks and bosses locked into windowless rooms, never to trouble our thoughts again, while we all get on with the work of helping their victims rebuild their bones and lives.

All the regimes - there's not a one of them involved that's worth a bucket of pigshit. And as always it's the ordinary people who suffer from these vainglorious egomaniacs and psychopaths.

as usual if they can make an horrible choice...they do it. They are so unfortunately predictable (and ignorant) that I'm surprised they manage to remain in power... one think that sooner or later they will make some gross mistake and disappear... as you write let's hope we don't have to disappear with them.
