Our inability/unwillingness to recognize giant Evils

When we imagine worst kind evil, why many of our minds are trained to imagine only Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Mao, Polpot, … but not to all of Empire 2.0's presidents & 1.0's prime ministers — contemporary & past, not heads of European states that [settler-]colonised so many societies, robbed them of resources, massacred millions to hundreds of millions & destabilized them to serve colonial & imperial interests?

Some of these goons have committed comparable Hitler has committed, collectively committed orders more crimes than Hitler. Still why we dont see them as evil — even tho, some of them act like Hitlers of our time. Why?

That question definitely has many answers, but one answer that cannot be discounted is Western colonization of minds all around the world.

Hamas has not even committed a tiny fraction of crimes Genocidal Entity/Genocidal Empire/Genocidal West has committed & are committing right now, but Western Left & Left all over the world have endless slack to cut for these organised thugs than for Hamas.

Even so called "leftists" & even fellow so-called "anarchists" have ample slack cut for Empire & rest of West. Why?

My point is not about whether Hamas are good guys or not. But how we judge Evil & why we grant far bigger Evils infinite slack? Are they too big to consider evil, where as others are not big enough, so we can condemn?

Who is worse?

Someone who slaps you (or) Someone who murders you?

Is an occasional wife beater worse than a deranged sadist who murders a whole family & takes pleasure in it?

Do note that this is not electoral lesser-evil scam ruling class runs. In this case, Hamas/any other resistance group did not chose to be in that position. They are forced to be in that position & thats the only reason they could survive however long they could survive. In electoral scam, the so called "lesser evil" always can chose not to not be evil (often they are not even lesser evil post election), but it deliberately choses to be evil, so you are left with no real choice, which is completely different in the case of Palestine. So, this is lesser evil case, but this one actually have credible defendable lesser-evil thing unlike undefendable electoral lesser-evil thing.

Then why do we have these inverted value system when it comes to Hamas vs Genocidal Entity, Hamas vs Genocidal Empire, Hamas vs Genocidal West?

Hamas are not good guys, but they are the only form of resistance (despite all their crimes against Palestinians) that could not be crushed fully by Entity (they could not be crushed because of their deep community roots — even if they were criminals and that was the only reason why they survived while most other groups were either coopted/rendered harmless by Genocidal Entity thru Execution, Kidnapping, Blackmail, …) & was not corrupted like so called "Secular" Palestinian Authority — who are nothing but Entity's mafia, who were keeping Palestinians under permanent subjugation.

Why do most of us have this naked hypocrisy when it comes to the crimes of strong? I am not talking about shit- & fash-libs, but about so called "leftists" too, whose hypocrisy is equally visible to anyone who pay attention to some of the justifications you hear from them — in this specific instance.

We dont have to be on their side, but atleast what we should do is recognize the legitimacy of those are not operating in the same social & political systems as we live under. If all of us are put under the same system Palestinians are put under, most of us wont turn out any better.

Just like how we have infinite bandwidth to excuse crimes of Empire, we have exactly the same hypocrisy when it comes to the crimes of State. We treat someone who steals a tiny thing in a shop more cruelly than we treat Big Thieves (Capitalists) & Big Thugs (Politicians & State goons).

Hegemonic West not only wrote most of recorded history, they also colonized own imagination & hijacked our values with the value system of the institutions they imposed. Even those who read the versions of history written from the point of view of oppressed, even those people have infinite slack for the strong.

This colonization of mind is not just unique to those within mainstream, but those who know the alternative interpretation of real world.

Despite all the crimes Empire has committed & is committing, why do those who know better still dont act like it is Evil — except say in rhetoric? But the same people will go overboard when it comes to Hamas. Why?

When we compare the crimes of Hamas side by side with Empire/Entity/West & most so called "Democratic" States, they look like saints, but we have different scales to judge each group.

Thanks to Western hegemony, which perpetuated this value system all around the world embedded in so called "Nation–State", we are conditioned thru out our life to not see the bigger evil i.e State & Capital for what they are.

Our conditioning is so complete that we are more outraged about lesser evils, than the biggest evils in society i.e States & Empires.

My point is not that we should not be outraged about lesser evil. We should be. But can we atleast add context to every situation to recognize the underlying forces that bring people to the place where they are at, not to justify them but to understand first & then pass judgement — one way or another.

This hypocrisy is even more palpable in Left circles as we too have internalized the value system of statusquo to a point where many of us lost our ability to identity evil, degrees of evils, ability to take into account the circumstances under which various groups of people are forced to operate under in real-world.

So called "Free world" mask already slipped a while back, but its slipping more & more & it will only get worse.

Ruling class in leaf country decided its time to move to open state terrorism by raiding houses of a Palestinian prisoner support group, which they recently classified as "terrorist" group.

This is what awaits Empire's left too.

Empire's Hitler already said he will weaponize Federal funding to suppress Pro-Palestine student protests. But whats also likely going to happen is, he will likely deploy anti-terrorism laws to suppress domestic opposition to genocide — if other modes of intimation doesn't work.

Ruling class weaponized antisemitism. They are deploying additional methods (Weaponzing Funding & Pulling out the trump card of "terrorism" laws) to suppress opposition to Empire's & its Settler-Colony's genocide and destroy support networks Palestinians have.

This affects radical left far more than most. Historically, this is how ruling class suppressed radicals & created controlled opposition in the protest spaces, so natural selection makes the only groups allowed to occupy left space are the ones that are least radical. Since most radical groups will be thrown behind bars (if ruling class can get away with it — depends on various factors), the only ones who will be portrayed later as the most radical are least radical groups that State has allowed to have the public therapy sessions aka protest that wont meaningfully challenge ruling class decisions in any meaningful manner.

This is a game ruling class played forever in the past & will play in future too & the strategy is the same in almost every shithole. Which is why those we are told as "radicals" are largely reformists. Often a wing of ruling class — whether willingly/begrudgingly.

By attacking the radicals (in this case a group of people who are supporting Palestinian prisoners, likely not even radical, as my assumption is its just a prisoner support group), they intimidate the rest & depending on underlying legal repressive frameworks available in each of our shitholes & based on pushback they get from society, oppression can range from mere intimidation & backoff to throwing people behind bars to measures that are far worse.

With those strategies, you will not be surprised why Zionist & Capital-friendly "socialist" like Bernie Sanders is presented as the most radical left faction by ruling class & MSM, when he is the center on economy + far-right when it comes to settler-colony i.e "left" wing of Zionism.

Zionists are going to use every tool they have access to take down their enemies & they are ruthless when it comes to taking down their enemies. They have 75 years of experience in suppressing their enemies & most of people in anti-Zionist camp in West barely have an year of experience. Western state apparatus has already been weaponized, but it will be more ruthless going forward as they will have discount store Hitler & rest of committed Zionists in positions of power in Empire very soon.

Le Centre pour les droits de l'homme en Iran (CHRI) a qualifié "d'enlèvement" le transfert de cette étudiante dans un établissement psychiatrique dont le nom n'a pas été divulgué, affirmant que le transfert forcé de manifestants anti-régime vers des établissements de santé mentale était de plus en plus utilisé pour faire taire les dissidents.

Le transfert dans des hôpitaux psychiatriques de personnes qui participent à des manifestations pacifiques constitue non seulement un acte de détention arbitraire, mais aussi une forme d'enlèvement. Cette pratique est une manœuvre manifestement illégale visant à discréditer les militants en les qualifiant de mentalement instables.
Il y a eu un certain nombre d'autres cas très médiatisés de manifestantes arrêtés lors des manifestations "Femme, vie, liberté" qui ont également été internées dans des hôpitaux psychiatriques après leur arrestation.

Saman Yasin, un célèbre rappeur kurde, a été emmené par les autorités à l'hôpital psychiatrique Aminabad de Téhéran après son arrestation lors d'une manifestation en 2022, où il aurait été torturé et contraint de faire des aveux. Il a passé deux ans en prison avant d'être libéré pour raisons médicales le mois dernier.
Une source proche de Yasin a déclaré au Guardian : "Saman a été attaché au lit du centre psychiatrique dans une position cruciforme pendant une longue période. Ils lui ont administré des sédatifs à haute dose et, malgré son état d'inconscience, les entraves aux mains et aux pieds n'ont pas été enlevées".

En octobre 2023, Roya Zakeri, une jeune femme iranienne qui avait été filmée en train de chanter des slogans contre le régime, a été qualifiée de malade mentale par les médias d'État et emmenée dans le service des femmes de l'hôpital psychiatrique de Razi. Des proches de la jeune femme ont déclaré au Guardian qu'on lui avait injecté des somnifères, qu'elle avait été agressée physiquement et qu'on lui avait enchaîné les bras et les pieds.
Azam Jangravi, une militante des droits de l'homme, a déclaré que les autorités iraniennes l'avaient pressée de signer une déclaration affirmant qu'elle avait des problèmes de santé mentale après que des photographies d'elle agitant son hijab au-dessus de sa tête dans une rue de Téhéran eurent été largement diffusées en 2018.

"Lorsqu'ils m'ont interrogée, ils m'ont accusée d'être une espionne", a-t-elle déclaré. "Ils voulaient que je rédige une confession indiquant que je regrettais ma manifestation et que je l'avais faite parce que je ne me sentais pas bien mentalement. Je ne l'ai pas signée... Pendant les interrogatoires, ils ne cessent de nous narguer en citant l'exemple d'anciens prisonniers politiques qui ont été envoyés dans ces hôpitaux psychiatriques, [en nous disant] "Si vous ne regrettez pas votre acte de protestation, vous subirez le même sort". Je crains que l'étudiante ne soit actuellement soumise à des conditions horribles et nous devons exiger sa libération", a-t-elle déclaré.
Le Guardian s'est entretenu avec des jeunes femmes iraniennes qui ont déclaré avoir été inspirées par la vidéo de l'étudiante, qui a rapidement été saluée comme une nouvelle icône du mouvement iranien Femme, Vie, Liberté, après la mise en ligne de la vidéo.

"Toutes les personnes que je connais qui ont manifesté et demandé à être libérées de la République islamique ne soutiennent pas son acte de protestation", a déclaré Farah*, étudiante à l'université de Téhéran. "C'est pour cela que nous nous battons, pour avoir la liberté de choisir. Nous sommes admiratifs de son courage. S'il n'en tenait qu'au régime, tous ceux d'entre nous qui ont protesté seraient considérés comme des malades mentaux".
