I heard that only about 2,000 #Ukrainian soldiers are in the #Kursk region. This means 2.78 square kilometers per soldier to "hold" on average.

Sounds pretty thinly stretched to me.

OFC, the troops will be concentrated in convoys, but even so, how much longer can this admirable diversion continue.

More importantly, how quickly can the invading forces retreat to #Ukraine once the #Kremlin has redeployed enough troops to the region to repell this brazen attack?

Update:
According to (conflicting) news sources #Aure reports that there could be as many as 10k #Ukrainian troops in the #Kursk region.
Wow.

After #Prigoshin's #Wagner mercenaries almost had a "home run" to #Moscow last year, #Russian defense, and in particular moral, seem very much lacking...

with your numbers (which i think might be too low, but i don't know better), i get 0.36 sq. Km/soldier or around 3 soldiers per sqKm.

Edit: found your mistake, you divided soldiers by sqKm, but the result will still be soldiers, so it's 2.78 soldiers per sqKm (or 13.89 if the number of soldiers is 10k)
