Lawrence: Why Trump's lawyer called him the 'orange turd' during Stormy testimony
MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell explains how Donald Trump’s lawyer Susan Necheles attempted to mischaracterize Stormy Daniels’ description of Donald Trump as the “orange turd” and how Stormy Daniels saw through this line of questioning.MSNBC.com (MSNBC)

Thanks, Laffy.
I could hardly stop laughing througout the brilliant report by #Lawrence.
#StormyDaniels aka #StephanieAGregoryClifford legally humiliated #TFG, the "Orange Turd," several times.
#Stormy also outclassed #Trump lawyer #SusanNecheles in #CrossExamination.
#ToddBlanche torpedoed his own motions for a mistrial on the 1st trial day!
#GagOrder not modified
I ❤️ Justice #JuanMerchan and Lawrence!

I'm not a criminal lawyer nor a legal commentator, however, I have a gut feeling that, in retrospect, today could be a turning point in the #HushMoneyTrial...

Keep the faith, Laffy.
The Prosecution and the Jurisprudence are doing a great job--in contrast to the defense and the defendant.
In my mind, I'm one (hopeful) step ahead: will TFG be jailed in time for the #Elections2024, if convicted?
I still hear #RachelMaddow's #Ultra episode where a criminal governor runs an election from jail in my mind...

Yes, and it is normal to indict and punish a former public official, even if (s)he has been Consul or president. This is how it has been since the times of the Roman Republic. France, for instance, has had no qualms doing so.
I thought yesterday that it would be good for the US public to be educated (for the most part) or reminded of these essential lessons of history.
"Equal Justice Under Law" means just that ANYONE can and will be...

...held to account.
Being a candidate in an election process does NOT entail immunity from prosecution or punishment. Neither does, in particular, having held an office. Only holding office grants (temporary) immunity.
And this has been #TFG's endgame...until #MAGA can #Russify the #US constitution + revoke the 22nd Amendment1), analogous to what #TFG's authoritarian idol #Putler has done in 2020.
