Mom said to me once I was older that I'm arrogant.

Entirely unintentional.

And perhaps not only my fault. She once said she'd feel stupid when me and my dad had debates about stuff that's very "up there", i.e. high-brow stuff.

I didn't view her as stupid. We didn't share many interests, but stupid, she was not. I wish she would have understood that while she was still alive.

She often thought with the heart and not the brain, but the heart is not stupid. It just thinks differently.
