There's nothing really wrong with this piece but I'd just note that it was a choice to go with the "draws fresh scrutiny" framing, as if it were organic, and put Trump's contemporaneous praise for Walz in the 6th graph.
They could have led with that and headlined it with something like, "GOP attacks Walz over BLM protests after Trump called his response 'incredible'."
