RE: social.vivaldi.net/@NetscapeNa…

Claims the site is a hate site, gets the opportunity to support their claim, and provides absolutely nothing.

Convenient.

Claims there is a user somewhere — nameless, who upset them years ago — and rather than dealing with that user personally, they choose to block everyone.

Guilt by proximity?

It's not even association since I don't know who the user is, you don't know who the user is, and yet simply being on the same site is good enough to smite you all.

it happened three years ago. We didn't take screenshots or archive the account, we discussed it internally. I've attached my messages about it.

It is supremely fucked up that you are demanding marginalised people explain themselves against abuse and harassment. This is why people hide their block lists. You are part of the problem.

also, when a reported off instance account is deleted or suspended, all attachments on that report vanish. This is a longstanding moderation tooling issue with mastodon that makes situations like this difficult, because I can't show you evidence of people being abused, not that I should have to, because people who demand evidence of abuse from the victims are generally assholes.

@Curator

I would have called you out, just as I am doing right now, even if your blocklist were private. Why? Because I, along with a few people on your site and elsewhere, keep watching the number of people we can interact with shrink as your blocklist grows.

You see my comment as a problem; I see it as an intervention for an admin on a power trip. Three years ago, back in 2023, some random user upset you, and now, three years later in 2026, an entire website and all of its users — who had absolutely nothing to do with it — are damned.

You really see nothing wrong with that?

As I said, you're a prime example of why people on the Fedi have more than one account

You could also just leave them alone? What is your problem? They blocked you and instead of getting it and moving on you make a quote-post to try and shame them 🤔
The correct behaviour here is apologise and move on

@elduvelle

They've not blocked me. They blocked the site I was on. They seem to be blocking many sites.

If they had an issue with me personally, fine. But would you like it if your whole site was blocked, simply because some random you didn't know? I doubt it.
