I apologize about the latest 3.41.0 release of #Fedilab that introduced a deceptive UX. Collections work with the #Mastodon API on instances running 4.6 (currently in release candidate). I should have added a safeguard depending on the Mastodon release. I am really sorry for that.

The release notes show which version it should work with. And even if something went wrong, neither the hashtag nor Codeberg was flooded with complaints. This is a huge project, and it's impressive how you handle it. And Fedilab is free, so don't worry too much. :neocat_floof_happy:

@HurricaneWeasel
Thank you for your kind message :3. This feature added an entry in the menu, and some people who tested it got the default "An error occurred" message. I should work on a clever message saying the feature isn't available yet on your instance, which would at least make things clearer for users. It should be an easy fix when the endpoint returns a 404.

I collected some wishes for improvements in error handling (scroll a bit to the right). This would fit well there. :blobcatthumbsup:

Yes, and this list will definitely help me improve a lot of the UX.

Don't worry. Everything is fine. Fedilab is now a great piece of software and has evolved through a lot of experimentation. This is why the app is outstanding in the Fediverse ecosystem.

I'd like to repeat his words, as i use fedilab since my entry to the fediverse. You've done decent work on this app! Thank you!

I appreciate the good qualities of people, such as sincerity and respect, and for that you have my admiration. Making mistakes is human, but remaining in error is the big problem. Thank you for your excellent work and I wish you success in your projects.
